Learn some new ways of using watercolour
In this abstract workshop you will explore new watercolour techniques and applications. You will work on half sheets of Arches 300lb. paper and apply masking fluid with different tools to create the illusion of texture and interest. You will learn how to use successful colour combinations while you playfully splash on the watercolour. You will learn the basics of abstract design while adding opaque watercolour in various ways to bring out your design. Also you will experiment with iridescent watercolours to create luminous effects. Suitable for all levels. Best for the intermediate student wishing to add creative techniques to their watercolour practice.

Tammy: Yes, I have had beginners really enjoy this workshop. It's a very fun way to be exposed to watercolour as it will encourage you to be brave with the medium. However, I have also had people say to me that they wished they had taken a beginner course in Watercolour first so that they were more familiar with all the watercolour terms used.
